Pebble Hills University Confers Distinguished Professorship in Strategic Leadership and Governance on Dr. Ahmed Abdurahman Mustefa
Pebble Hills University is pleased to announce that Dr. Ahmed Abdurahman Mustefa has been awarded the title of Distinguished Professorship in Strategic Leadership and Governance in recognition of his remarkable lifetime contributions to leadership development, governance, capacity building, and public service. Over nearly five decades of professional experience, Dr. Ahmed has built an exceptional record as a civil servant, consultant, educator, and institutional leader, making a lasting impact across multiple sectors.
Dr. Ahmed currently serves in several prominent leadership capacities, including Vice Chairperson of the Advisory Board of Interest Free Banking at Oromia Bank, member of the Board of Directors for the Ethiopia Institute of Corporate Governance, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ethio-Addiction Free Generation Organization, and Executive Director of Infrastructure Africa. He is also the Founder and President of the Senior Citizen Foundation in Ethiopia and the Director General of Golden Bridge Consultancy, where he has championed leadership development, strategic management, and capacity-building initiatives through various affiliated institutions.
His academic and professional journey reflects a deep commitment to scholarship and excellence. Dr. Ahmed holds a PhD in Engineering Management, an MA in Human Resource Management, an MAL in Leadership, an MBA in Quality Management, an MCom in Commerce, a Diploma in HRM, and a BSc in Chemistry. In addition, he has earned extensive international certifications and training from respected organisations including the British Council, Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, IFC of the World Bank, UNDP-UNCTAD, ILO, WIPO, and others.
Beyond his executive and academic achievements, Dr. Ahmed has made a significant contribution to research, writing, and thought leadership. He has published more than 20 works in journals, conference proceedings, books, and book chapters, developed over 60 leadership training topics, and prepared numerous books and e-books for future publication. His work has consistently focused on strengthening leadership practice, public governance, entrepreneurship, and institutional development.
Pebble Hills University also recognises Dr. Ahmed’s outstanding public service and social impact. He has been decorated as an Ambassador for Peace by the Universal Peace Federation, received multiple awards and recognitions from UN-related bodies and other organisations, and served the Addis Ababa community through leadership roles in civic, social, and religious institutions. His long-standing dedication to societal harmony, ethical leadership, and public engagement makes him a truly deserving recipient of this distinguished honour.
