General Information

Pebble Hills University

is accredited by International Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (QAHE). QAHE is registered in Delaware USA, is an independent, private and international organization which is funded through fees charged for its accreditation services to Higher Education Institutions, Certification Bodies, E-Learning Management System Providers and Training Organizations. QAHE use expertise to support the development of quality assurance systems worldwide. As the accrediting agency has grown in size and complexity, the quality assurance systems have evolved and, progressively, tasks are articulated and delegated, with official certifications. Unlike conventional programs, many academic programs and professional training courses taught by electronic means can go beyond geographical borders and do not inevitably require a campus or classroom. QAHE understands the transformation in the higher education sector, therefore assuming the existence of a physical academic infrastructure while assessing institutions’ academic and teaching quality may not be applicable.

African Professional Bodies
Pebble Hills University students are accepted for membership within the Managerial Chapters of Design, Technology and Management Society International (DTMSI). Applicants are admitted into the Managerial Chapter of the Society, which are the general membership divisions within the Society. Suitably qualified members are invited to join various subdivisions such as the MBA and Professional Managers Guild.

Admission Requirement

Before enrolling in the program, student must fulfill the following Eligibility

  • Applicants must possess an appropriate degree from a recognized institution
  • Applicants who do not hold a university or college degree, will be considered for admissions if they have professional certification / diploma AND minimum three years full-time appropriate work experience

Professional Recognition

You will be eligible to apply for Adjunct Professorship and Honorary Fellowship from the International Association for Quality Assurance in Pre-tertiary and Higher Education. The title of Adjunct Professor is usually awarded to the candidates who have a PhD degree and a job outside the academic institution, teaching courses in a specialized field. The Honorary Fellowship is granted to candidates who meet one of the following criteria:

  •  A major creative contribution to the advancement of knowledge through research; or
  •  A position of eminence in the practice of management or business administration

UK Professional Bodies

Graduates of this program are eligible to join the Institute of Management Specialists (IMS), UK, The Academy of Executives & Administrators (AEA), UK. In addition, the Society’s Board and Academic Review Council (ARC) of Society of Business Practitioners (UK) has recognized graduates of the PHU MBA to qualify for a Senior SBP Award. Professional Managers Association (PMA) will accept PHU’s graduates for full Membership of the Association. These with Master’s degrees can enter the PMA at Certified Professional Manager (P.Mgr) level.

Remarks:

2. A PhD can lead to or enhance an academic career and is highly regarded by private and public sector employers.
3. The entry requirement for a Doctor of Philosophy is usually a bachelor degree with Honors or an approved equivalent qualification.
4. A thesis for the Doctor of Philosophy must make a significant contribution to knowledge, be worthy of publication and give evidence of your ability to undertake further research without supervision.
5. A PhD thesis should be 50,000 to 80,000 words in length.

Exemption/Transfer
