Philippe Rene Pierre Funk Awarded Distinguished Professorship in Technology and Education Leadership by Pebble Hills University
Pebble Hills University is pleased to announce that Philippe Rene Pierre Funk has been conferred the Distinguished Professorship in Technology and Education Leadership.
Mr. Funk is an interdisciplinary researcher, creative scientist, and international expert whose career spans cyber technologies, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and digital pedagogy. He is the founder and president of the Polytechnic Cyber Institute in Luxembourg, an online-first interdisciplinary technology school dedicated to widening access to high-quality tech education. His appointment as Distinguished Professor recognizes his leadership in developing research-driven curricula, his pioneering work on projects such as the Cybertech CubeSat Space Program, and his contributions as a Key Technology Expert to the European Commission on Quantum Technologies.
Throughout his career, Mr. Funk has bridged rigorous research and applied educational practice. He has designed and delivered advanced curricula in AI and cybersecurity for government bodies and training organizations, led interdisciplinary research teams, and authored peer-reviewed articles and technical publications. His continuing academic work includes doctoral studies in IT & Cyber Technologies and a Doctorate in Business Administration, complemented by numerous professional certifications from institutions such as MIT Professional Education, IEEE, IBM, and OP SWAT Academy.
