QAHE and PHU Confer Distinguished Professorship in Health Science on Prof. Aloysius Obinna Ikwuka

The International Association for Quality Assurance in Pre‑Tertiary & Higher Education (QAHE), in collaboration with Pebble Hills University (PHU), is pleased to announce that Prof. Aloysius Obinna Ikwuka has been awarded the prestigious Distinguished Professorship in Health Science. This honor recognizes his exceptional academic leadership, extensive research contributions, and longstanding commitment to advancing medical education and clinical science across Africa, Europe, and beyond.

Prof. Ikwuka currently serves as Professor and Head of Basic Sciences at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, American International University West Africa (AIUWA), The Gambia. His distinguished career includes service as Deputy Provost, member of the Senior Management Team, and active contributor to university governance and research ethics committees. His CV highlights that he has taught core medical courses such as Medical Genetics, Haematology, and Immunology and has supervised both undergraduate and doctoral students.

A prolific scholar, Prof. Ikwuka has authored multiple academic books—including the DACES series in Immunology, Medical Genetics, and Hematology—and has published extensively in peer‑reviewed journals on endocrinology, metabolic disorders, nephropathy, hypertension, and public health. His record includes more than 900 citations on ResearchGate and Google Scholar, reflecting the global impact of his research.
