Mr. Mpumelelo Moyo

Mr. Mpumelelo Moyo is a highly experienced and respected Zimbabwean development practitioner with over 30 years of dedicated service in development planning, programme management, and community empowerment.

He currently serves as Director of the Insiza Godlwayo AIDS Council (IGAC), a position he has held since 2007. In this role, he provides strategic leadership in programme design and implementation, resource mobilisation, monitoring and evaluation, HIV/AIDS programming, gender mainstreaming, and capacity building for vulnerable communities and local structures.

Mr. Moyo has held several influential positions, including:

  • Board Member of the Private Voluntary Organisations Board, Ministry of Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare (2019–2023)
  • Part-time Lecturer at Zimbabwe Open University (2015 to present)
  • Constituency Development Fund Secretary, Parliament of Zimbabwe
  • Local Capacity Builder/Consultant with SNV/UNDP

He holds the following academic qualifications:

  • Master of Science in Development Studies – National University of Science and Technology (NUST), 2013
  • Post-Graduate Diploma in Development Studies – Lupane State University, 2011
  • Certificate in HIV/AIDS Care and Counselling – University of South Africa (UNISA), 2004
  • Bachelor of Technology in Education Management – Technikon Pretoria, 2001
  • Diploma in Education – University of Zimbabwe, 1994

In recognition of his outstanding contributions to development practice, community transformation, and sustainable development in Zimbabwe, Pebble Hills University has conferred upon him the Doctor of Development Studies (Honoris Causa).

Mr. Moyo is known for his strong leadership, strategic thinking, and unwavering commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable populations through evidence-based and participatory development approaches.
