Prof. Al-Ghani D. Mohammad is a distinguished educator currently serving as Professor III at Western Mindanao State University in Zamboanga City. He is a highly accomplished academic with an extensive background in Political Science, Public Administration, and Governance. He holds multiple degrees, including a Doctor of Public Administration, which he earned from Western Mindanao State University in 2025, and a Master of Public Administration obtained in 2014 from the same institution. Additionally, he has a Bachelor of Laws, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, graduating Cum Laude in 2005.
In addition to his impressive academic qualifications, Prof. Mohammad is a registered nurse and a certified human resource professional. His professional credentials include certifications as a Certified Human Resource Professional, Certified Tax Technician, and Fellow of the Royal Institute of Public Administrators. Over the years, he has held various roles at Western Mindanao State University, progressing from Instructor I to his current position as Professor III. He has also taken on significant administrative responsibilities, such as serving as the University and Board Secretary and Director of Special Programs and Projects.
Prof. Mohammad is actively engaged in research, contributing to important discussions in governance and public administration. His work has been recognized at international conferences, and he has published several articles in reputable journals. His dedication to education and leadership has earned him numerous awards, including the Mindanao’s Man of Achievements in Education and the Most Outstanding Professor and Excellence in Leadership Award.
