Ozlem Kilickaya is an instructor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of the People. She graduated from Hacettepe University in 2012 and she earned a master’s degree in mechatronics engineering with a thesis from Atilim University in 2016. Her interest and journey in artificial intelligence engineering began with a professional certificate program in data science at Harvard University. Following that, she completed data science certificate programs from IBM, Kaggle, and HackerRank. She has thirty certificates. In various companies, she worked as a machine learning engineer and consultant. In one of the Kaggle competitions, she won a bronze medal. It was about credit card fraud detection for American Express credit cards. Currently, besides of her faculty position, she works as a technical author for Baeldung on Computer Science and as an academic editor for Panther Professional Services. She is a reviewer in International Journal of Mechanical Engineering & Applications (IJMEA).
